I’m Alex, a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher with three years’ experience creating welcoming and inclusive spaces for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. I have been registered with Yoga Alliance since the beginning of my teaching journey, reflecting my commitment to continuing my learning and developing my practice.
Alongside yoga, I have many years of experience working in the community in Cornwall, including as a Community Development Worker and Mental Health Advisor. These roles have deepened my understanding of compassion, connection and the importance of creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and accepted.
Over the past three years, I’ve taught in a variety of settings and have experience in Chair Yoga, yoga for over 60s, Holistic Yoga, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin and Restorative Yoga. This has given me a broad understanding of how yoga can be adapted to meet each person, whatever their age, experience or ability.
Yoga and breathwork have played an important part in my own life, supporting me through difficult times and helping me reconnect with myself, my body and a sense of balance. This experience is at the heart of the way I teach.
My approach is gentle, encouraging and person-centred. I invite you to practise with curiosity, without judgement or pressure, and to listen to what your own body needs.
For me, yoga is an opportunity to pause, reconnect and return to yourself — your body and your breath.
I hope each class offers you a little space to come home to yourself, leaving you feeling more grounded, connected and at ease, both on and beyond the mat.
Namaste,
Alex
